Cut Slack 03:34
the last time i looked you in the eye think it might’ve been mid to late july in the cracked sidewalk we paid our dues it could’ve felt like anybody’s blues take me back to the day when i cut you slack in the car without seat belts when i took the train out of hell and into the rain the last time i took you in my arms i was scared that i might cause you harm the last time i saw you in my house you looked like a jail bird breaking out take me back to the day when i cut you slack in the car without seat belts when i took the train out of hell and into the rain

Still Blue 03:27
you’ve been coming down with the flu and i know how to talk to you and the old souls they know that we’re good as gone sundown faded in the west this town thinks that they’re the best and the hot coals lay low for the quiet songs if it’s old news will it hold true when the choir’s gone dark jeans hanging my head low pipe dreams hours to plateau and it’s been done but i still run to the greener side and it’s old truth but it’s still blue in the lowest tide

i was steeped in the back of my mind when i found you i was screaming at the top of my lungs when i heard your voice it’s true i was sleeping on a bed of stones when i felt at home woke me up to tell me that i’m not alone and i can’t thank you cause i don’t believe you i don’t believe you chill out take it for a spin let me know how it feels when it breaks in and i try to try a little more but i try not to think about it anymore

Common 04:30
i hope that we can find a home for the common man even though they say we all go one day i don’t know about that yet i think that this might be as good as it gets i know the city is closed but they make a point if you stay composed this happens every time when you put it that way racing blood and folding lines to say that this is as much as i want wasted the gold grass passed the test with an empty nest even though i lost a few good bets i don’t think about them now cause maybe this is as good as it gets

we took the long way we wanted time to look around record the movements give me a pen i’ll write it down we’ve got a list of names we’ve broken window panes and if you ask us nice we’ll give you bad advice oh, you better stay away be sorry or be safe if i was sinking i knew i had a little time when you closed your hand i knew that you were holding mine i’m finding often drawn my mind goes on and on keep saying words i know but try to say them slow oh, i can’t stay awake this happens every day i don’t know the name and this all looks the same

Static Day 03:55
run with the reticent i was meant green eyes will follow me what i could be the telephone against the wall the smell of smoke in urban sprawl this road goes on for miles all at once in a while go to the other state it can wait gold in the other lake that i can’t take the waiting air around the place the morning prayer in upper case this road goes on for miles all at once in a while found a place to store everything you’re sorry for high hopes for now 'til they fall down

Droner 04:21
i am a drone i’m a follower i am a clone yeah, a borrower made out of stone or just hard to hear let me atone or just disappear i don’t know much but i know you and you know me too that keeps me cool i got fall on my mind and it’s taking it’s time don’t leave me behind the wheel tonight i’m a wave i’m a phase changer and the moon won’t say why he’s been such a stranger on the white lawn in the front of the shrine passing the town west of the line i don’t know much but i know you and you know me too that keeps me cool i got fall on my mind and it’s taking it’s time don’t leave me behind the wheel tonight

Canyon 02:28
in the canyon i woke with the cup in my hand i hardly spoke i felt the weight of the plan but if it takes all day i’ll want more to take away everything that i touch turns to grey better lost before on the way to the sound i used it for keeping my feet on the ground but when the wind picked up i got scared and spilled my guts every year i end up in a rut losing track of time and drifting on a narrow line
